A rising powerhouse that specializes in breaking down barriers and shattering glass ceilings, Christina is a plus-sized beauty that is poised to take the industry by storm. She is quickly becoming a prominent figure in the curvy community for her dedication to the "Curvolution" - growth and progression in the areas of positive body image, self-esteem and the empowerment of plus size women around the world.
With her finger on the pulse of all things related to her full-figured fellowship, Christina is working on her first book, 'My Life as Plus-Sized Model'. The publication is an autobiography as well as a guide to being a healthy woman of size. Christina's interest in health and wellness lead her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Health at Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama, where she is now a Masters candidate. Prior to pursuing her Bachelors, Christina graduated from the Georgia Medical Institute as a Certified Massage Therapist. She went on to receive her national certification from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and became a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
In addition to her passion for health and wellness, this rising runway staple is an authority on pageantry, beauty and love of self. She has participated in the Miss Plus America pageant system on both state and national levels and in the inaugural Ms. Black Georgia USA pageant. Both systems immediately recognized her spark, as she captured the titles of Miss Plus Americas Covergirl and Ms. Photogenic in the respective competitions. Her pageant experiences led her to found Love Your B.O.T.I. (Beauty On The Inside) - a non-profit organization designed to develop and promote positive body image in young ladies.
Christinas blossoming career can be credited to her philanthropic endeavors as much as it can her intellectual and physical attributes. She currently divides her volunteer time between working on projects for Love Your B.O.T.I., Sista Space, the Urban Pageantry Association, Hands on Atlanta and the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia.
After her well-received entrance, Christina seems to have instantly become a sonorous spokesperson for plus size women. She has been showcased on VenusDivas.com and interviewed by Olga Gonzalez-Ramos for AmaZe magazine. Her bustling calendar has also included appearances at the Macys Her Tour, the Girl Scouts 50th National Convention, the Christian Cheerleading Association and Fast Track 2006: A Girls to Women Career Expo.
Christinas resounding advice to the young ladies that she mentors and to the curvy community? "You have to be comfortable with the skin that youre in. Love yourself and embrace your own unique beauty. Take the time to learn and appreciate yourself from the inside out." Christina is lauded for being an example to women everywhere that your size does not dictate who you are or what you can accomplish.
