SHAFT!

Pure Rock Fury since 2000

About Me

Hailing from The Glass City SHAFT! formed in the year 2000 to bring it's shock and awe brand of rock to the stages of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan; however, it wasn't until 2002 that SHAFT! started creating and writing their own music.
Over the past several years SHAFT! has developed a loyal and excited fan base who enjoy both the rock fury that pumps off the stage, as well as, the unrivaled energy of the band as they unleash this fury. Due to their hard work SHAFT! was rewarded with the opportunity to share the stage with Elektra Recording artists Systemtic (March '03), Socialburn (July '03), and ManMadeGod (July '03). In November of '03 SHAFT! recorded their first live DVD at The Longhorn Saloon. In 2004 SHAFT! was named Toledo's Most Underrated Band by the readers of The Toledo City Paper.
As 2008 approaches SHAFT! nears a cross road; will the road continue for SHAFT! or will a new direction need to be taken for the band. After nearly 8 years together the run has been amazing and the band hopes to pull through the tribulations of so many years together as many projects are sitting on the table awaiting accomplishment. The time together has been amazing, both between band members and the experiences we have shared with our fans from the days at the Annual Beeb and Breeze Luau to the packed houses all across Toledo. It wouldn't have been possible without the fans. So as 2007 closes and 2008 opens anew lets hope for the brightest future possible for the band and hope for the new record and all of the other projects to come to fruition. Thanks to each and every one of our past and future fans, this is all for you!
Through 2007 and entering 2008 we have played or scheduled shows at the following clubs and venues:
Club Bijou
The Underground
Mickey Finn's
Headliner's
The Longhorn
Fuze
The Metro (Toledo)
The Bottle Rocket
Frankie's Inner City
Missi Blues
Croakie's Party Island
Vamp's
Howard's Club H (Bowling Green, OH)
Luke's Barn (Maumee, OH)
The Woodshed
For four straight years we were the entertainment at The Beeb and Breeze Annual Labor Day Luau - as well as countless other parties and gatherings.
We've also appeared live on WXUT 88.3 FM with DJ Vag, playing an acoustic set in studio.
The band would also like to thank Jake Whiteman and Jeff Wiles for their endless help in making the band what it is today. We'd also like to thank former members Jeff Wiles, Jake Hildreth, and Andy Branum for helping leave a little bit of yourselves in the music still heard today, thanks for all your efforts during your tenure with us.
