Generally Indie/Rock seems to be my thing, but I enjoy anything thats good, inventive, that gives you energy or makes you feel something. Mind you anyone that does an exact copy of an old track and then gets to make a fortune just for having a pretty face gets major black mark (pet hate - Westlife. Copy song with perfectly good original already out there, and it gets to no. 1 - that kinda things enough to make me lose faith in humanity. They are just diluting the amount of good creative music out there) Phew wow right so back to what i do like... a random selection... Greenday, Muse, Maximo Park, Captain, Keane, Ben Folds Five, Stereophonics, KT Tunstall, Shakira, Red Hot Chili Peppers... and many more.
Movies:
The Matrix, Serenity, Star Wars - the classic trilogy, Shaun of the Dead, High Fidelity, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Donnie Darko, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, The Truman Show, Shawshank Redemption and many many more.
Television:
Generally favorite TV is comedy. Spaced is my all time favorite sitcom, but also love Red Dwarf, Coupling, Black Books, Friends, Simpsons and Futurama. Absolutely love Firefly, why did they ever cancel it?! Why, dammit, why?!! Everybody must go buy the DVDs to persuade them to make another movie or tv series!
Books:
The Lord of the Rings, every single Terry Pratchett book he's written but particularly Good Omens. High Fidelity by Nick Hornby(also a great film) . Recently read and loved The Princess Bride (another one with a great movie adaptation!) and the Yes Man by Danny Wallace.
