Band Members: this is my solo project aside from my band ADAPT.~~~~~~~~~~RAINSHINE Review By Musician Critician August 14, 2006RAINSHINE has only been a member since March 2006 and has already accumulated 4372 hits on his artist site. This artist dabbles in all things music, playing guitar, bass, keyboards and VSTs like Fruity Loops. His dedicated fans have requested we review RAINSHINE and so we shall.The first and obviously newest song is Asounded, an arpeggiation in A-minor. The mode is further explored by several instruments that enhance the ethereal progression such as electric piano, guitar, and perhaps dulcimer which compliments the natural minor. Drums enter to add tasteful drive with occasional cymbal crashes. Throw in some slow string lines and you have the recipe for a very nice, relaxing song.Sleep Inside starts with a hypnotic element and introduces a stereo drum pattern on the lower tom, an exciting aural touch as the rudiment pans right to left and vice-versa. Full Kit enters providing nice rhythm, then exits leaving you with the ever-present and intriguing 5-b7-1-b3-2 lick. Itâs all very sleepy indeed right up to the end when a lightening effect rips across the speakers with a rotating right-left pan as it fades away to coda. This must be the wake up call!A lovely grand piano introduces Green Eyes Had In Mind. This piece in F-minor hints to more of a classical style especially with the string support. RAINSHINE again demonstrates his excellent taste with the rhythm as his drums modernize and propel.My Own piques interest as classic piano portrays a kaleidoscope of major and minor. Strings and perhaps Angel-Vox support with sustains while harp provides counter melodies. Drum convey us forward through moody changes, exiting later to leave us with the core ideas - major or minor, right or wrong, happy or sad? This song keeps you guessing all the way to the end like a good book.RAINSHINE is on his way and has many tools with which to craft his work. Stop in and enjoy this multi-talented artist.
