Regrets of yesterday, and fear of today, rob us of our hope for tomorrow

About Me

I'm funny, easygoing, a little bit odd (but hey, who isnt?) and free-spirited. I work as a personal trainer/fitness instructor and I absolutely love my job! I work with anybody who is genuinely interested in developing a health conscious lifestyle and being more physically active, but specifically, I work with physically and developmentally challenged people in the field of adaptive fitness and post rehabilitative therapy.Something interesting about me- I guess you could say that I myself am physically "challenged" because I'm a unilateral below-the-knee amputee. In other words- I'm missing my right leg just below the knee (it was amputated at the age of 5) and I'm also missing my left hand as a result of a congenital birth defect. I travel the country speaking and lecturing to various groups and medical organizations about the importance of physical activity for people with disabilities.

My Interests

I enjoy traveling, rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, reading, journaling, movies, tattoos/piercings, working out, sports, museums/art gallerys, hanging with friends, cooking (yes I can cook, and I'm good at it too!) and of course- video games...

I'd like to meet:

I previously said I'd like to meet anybody who is willing to put up with me for more than 5 minutes, but apparently I was asking for too much, so I'll settle for anybody who is willing to put up with me for 3 minutes...

Music:

I absolutely love music! I envy anybody who is skilled and talented enough to sing or play a musical instrument. My musical tastes are pretty broad and eclectic. I listen to everything from classical, to hip-hop, to heavy metal. My music collection ranges from Beethoven to Rob Zombie and everything in between.

Movies:

Star Wars, The Terminator movies, XXX (Schwarzeneggar and Vin Diesel are probably my favorite actors) Tombstone, Dances with Wolves, Braveheart, Dumb & Dumber, Napolean Dynamite, Forrest Gump, 40-Year Old Virgin, Old School, Wedding Crashers...the list could go on and on.

Television:

The Simpsons is my all-time favorite show! I also like Futurama, Family Guy, South Park, King of the Hill, Malcolm in the Middle, Seinfeld, Desperate Housewives, Miami Ink, Criss Angel: Mindfreak and Inked.

Books:

I usually read historical or autobiographical books...not the lame self-serving, autobiographies written by arrogant and pompous, assholes who only care about making a buck and milking their 15 minutes of fame...but books about "real" people who are interesting and have a life-lesson to teach. Two of my faves are Jenna Jameson's autobiography, "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale", and Tommy Lee's autobiography, "Tommyland".

Heroes:

My Dad... no question about it. He worked his fingers to the bone day and night to provide for his family. He is the hardest working, most dedicated person I've ever known; and he has made countless sacrifices to ensure that I had EVERY possible opportunity in life. I can only hope and pray to oneday become half the man that he is!
