The Third Man

Bored or drunk or both...?

About Me

Spent a lot of time trying to do something creative and eventually did a Film degree. Now I work in Children's TV while doodling and writing on the side. Spend much of my time looking for and talking to designers, writers and general creatives; which aint bad at all. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

Playing with my records, drinking, sitting, drinking & sitting at the same time, listening to the news, doodling, doodling while sitting and drinking, reading books while horizontal. Writing things from my head. Playing with paints and charcoals, stencilling.

I'd like to meet:

Designers, writers, creatives. Friendly designers/illustrators

Music:

Really into Danger Mouse and MF Doom (so wet myself when Dangerdoom came out). Also really like Nas and Beastie Boys Hip Hop wise as well as anything involving The Neptunes, Mixmaster Mike, AIM, DJ Format, Grandmaster Flash, The Beatnuts, The Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, DJ Yoda, Jurassic 5, Roots Manuva, De la Soul, Deckwrecka, Nextmen, Ugly Duckling... just checking out the Spankrock album (Yoyoyoyoyoyo) and really rate that too. Like a lot of beaty stuff too like U.N.K.L.E, Red Snapper, Layo & Buswacka, Cinematic Orchestra, Mr Scruff, 2ManyDjs and most Ninja Tune and MoWAx stuff. Not forgetting the classics like Leadbelly, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, Nina Simone, Jimmy Smith, Janis Joplin... To add a twist I really like Psychonaughts, Arcade Fire, White Stripes and The Black Keys. Also just got into Camille and think her album is just super.

Movies:

Dr. Strangelove, Raging Bull, La Heine, The Third Man, Amelie, Twelve Angry Men, Withnail & I, Dazed and Confused, My Neighbour Totoro, City of God......and then it goes a bit doo-lally and I start saying stuff like Anchorman, Old Skool, Zoolander and pretty much anything else Will Ferrell has been in.

Television:

Seinfled (still), Curb Your Enthusiasm, Brass Eye (still), Grand Designs, Relocation Relocation, Black Adder, and... Football. (Spurs).Have been a really late starter on Arrested Development but think that is one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Books:

Blue Highways by William Least Heat Moon, Down and out in Paris and London (Orwell), Tortilla Flat, The Pearl, Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck), Fear and Loathing in Las vegas, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail (Thompson) Heart of Darkness (Conrad), The Old Man and the Sea (Hemingway), Zorba the Greek (Kazantzakis)... And sweet Jesus... Modern Toss

Heroes:

George Orwell, Stanley Kubrick, Tony Benn, Stephen Beko, Clair Patterson, Edmond Halley, Hunter S. Thompson, Oliver Reed, Anna Politkovskaya...
