I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

The short story:
I like new people, they're fun. PLEASE at least talk to me a little before you try to add me as a "friend". No, a single message won't cut it.. If you do not talk to me for a while, I will not add you. Gratuitous skin shots don't really do it for me, either. And once we're "friends", you won't last long unless we actually talk or hang out. Despite please being in bold, people skip reading this a lot, it seems.
That said, I'd do nearly anything for my friends. They mean a lot to me. I'm definitely about quality rather than quantity. Yes, many of my friends are girls. The only thing that means is that most of the guys I've run into are jerks, and I don't like jerks.
I don't think it's necessarily bad to be a creature of habit. I have a fondness for the absurd. I like being helpful. I rarely go to bars, but I enjoy a small handful of them. I haven't been able to find some that I feel at home in out near Albany. I like grocery stores, especially smaller neighborhood ones. I like to play the piano, even though I can't play the piano. Sometimes it even sounds good.
If you are a Japanese speaker, I'd love to practice my (rudimentary) Japanese. I can handle reading kana, but not kanji so much. If you like to help people learn, I'd love pointers or whatever. Same thing with Korean!
Click here if you're at all curious about what I've been listening to recently.
Further: squaredot.net , even if it is now terribly outdated.

Crab Tempura Roll

I finally found shiso leaves - although these are the larger and less frilly korean variety of shiso/perilla. Interesting to taste them finally. I must admit, a well-done crab tempura is divine....
