About Me

My name is Shasta and I am 25 years old. I moved here to Greensboro, NC about a year and a half ago from San Jose, CA. What a culture shock. I am born and raised Unitarian Universalist and follow a Pagan path. I am a recovering addict with 3 years clean. Life is starting to get better, but it still feels like a lonely life. Attuning with my Higher Power has saved my life and for the first time in a long time I am glad to be alive. I spend most of my time working. My life is pretty boring right now. I am an earth-child by nature and an empath with every ounce of my being, which can be both a blessing and a curse. I can be a bit intense sometimes and I know it. But that's who I am. I love to learn, I truely believe that knowledge is power. I also believe that you can learn something from everybody you encounter in your life, if you can keep an open mind to new ideas and information. I love to create beautiful things. I make jewelry using only natural stones, sterling silver, pewter and swarovski crystal. If you live in the area, Eclectic by Nature on State street has some of my jewelry on display.

My Interests

I want to be a High School Algebra teacher, I really enjoy math and science. I enjoy making jewelry. I love to be in Nature, hiking, camping, swimming, it's all fun. I love to sing, anything really, as long as it's got a good rythm. Music is in my soul, it's woven into the very fabric of my being.

A little bit of everything, but I really have a soft spot for the 80's hair bands, especially the Scorpions. Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Folk, Some Alternative, Metal, Punk, and so much more. Let's not forget to support the local bands folks. "Crescent" found me recently right here on myspace and they totally rock. I can't wait to see them perform.
