About Me

Hey peeps, Cindy here. I’ve been on myspace for a year now. First for fun, then I got hooked. I have used this place for entertainment, making friends, and dating. All in all it’s been a pretty good experience. I was lucky enough to find someone very special here, which seems pretty rare on the scale of all things “myspace”. Even though it didn’t work out the way I wanted in the end, it was fun and didn’t ruin my opinion of online dating. If at first you don’t succeed……right. On the flipside, myspace has also been a learning experience as far as trusting what you see, especially the photos. Sure we all like to post a good shot, I’m no different…but posting pics from 5 years ago, when you think you looked your best, still had hair, and no pot belly, is not doing anyone any favors. I can only assume you think once you meet someone in person that you will win them over with your wit and charm (or whatever you have going for you)….and they will forgive the fact that you look nothing like you presented yourself? Come on now…in what universe do you live? I have heard the same complaint from the guys, so I am not just picking on the males here. That said, whatever you see on my page is all me, all honest and all strait forward. I would love to meet someone I connect with here, but I am much more about just meeting cool people to hang out with and have fun…..and I do mean Girls and Guys. I’m not looking for a hook up, a husband or a sugar daddy. I’m not into crazy fetishes…so please keep your freaky requests to yourself…and you know who you are…Mr. “please do this to me” dude. Does that really work? On second thought, I don’t want to know. I can tell you that I have never met anyone who didn’t say I was a fun person, cool to hang out with and funny. I’m pretty sarcastic and love to trade witty banter. I can’t remember a joke to save my life, but I can conjure up a great comeback on the fly. I probably make fun of people more than I should, but people are damn funny, and if they can’t take a joke they won’t like me anyways, so there. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I don’t have anything against that either for all you 420 peeps. It’s all good. So what is Cindy all about these days? If you are still reading…then please indulge yourself a little more…..I am a full time working single mom. Needless to say I am busy…but still try to find time for myself when I can. My daughter is 11 and she visits her dad on his weekends when it is possible, and she also spends more and more time with her own friends these days....so I find myself with the opportunity to expand my own social life as well. I live in north Austin and really like the area, but I am open to meeting people north or south. I have a great sense of humor and love the same in others. I try not to take life too seriously, but don’t live irresponsibly either. The more balance I can achieve, the better life is. I like most anything and everything everyone else does, so it would be easier to say what I don’t like. Baseball, country music, the two-step, snobby or self-centered people, loud/unruly children, screaming babies at the movies ( I WILL say something), the mall at X-mas, Wal-Mart on Saturday afternoons, cold pizza, warm beer, raw vegetables, Yagermeister, cold weather....and people who don't call you back (biggest pet peave of all). Some things I am looking forward to this spring and summer are hitting some festivals, happy hours on the patios, outdoor concerts, LOTS of lake time, weekend trips, cookouts, dining/dancing, Alamo Drafthouse, my Sunday Starbucks, my Amy's hot fudge sundaes, my Friday Maudies cheese enchiladas, my Trudy's mexican martinis, Red River rock-n-roll nights and 4th Street swank. Having BBQ and beer and floating in somebody's pool (dont' have that luxury myself). Tubing the Guadalupe and spending a full day at Schlitterbahn and also Fiesta Texas....bring on the roller coasters. I am also interested in the Wild Basin hiking trails, town lake biking and have never tried kayaking but would. I think I might like to learn rock climbing...but indoors first! Austin Rock Gym has caught my eye. I love spending a few hours at the book stores, thrift stores, cheapo's, vintage shops...etc. And don’t get me wrong…I love a day on the couch eating junk food and watching anything that will keep my attention. Want to know more…send me a message….

My Interests

Sports bars, playing pool, darts, watching football, movies, clubs, comedy, lakeside, poolside, happy hours, hangin out with friends and keeping up with my daughters social life! I seem to have become a taxi service this year...my car can drive itself to the mall and back by itself now, and the ATM is my new best friend...we have an intimate relationship these days. I think they should do away with High School...none of us liked it...and just send them directly to college after Middle School...they think they know everything anyways...let em prove it!

I'd like to meet:

Kiefer Sutherland, Troy Aikman, Carl Sagan, Howard Shore, and John Williams

Music:

Music is a part of my everyday existence. There is a music for every mood....and I have many. I may start the day with a clasical masterpiece and drive home thumping to 50 Cent - Candy Shop....you just never know.

Movies:

I watch a lot of documentaries and off the wall stuff, I like fantasy (Lord of the Rings), epic films, comedy and mystery. No slice and dice or horror films...gives me nightmares.

Television:

About my only "can't miss it" show is 24.....Kiefer is my secret celebrity crush.....God that man is fine! Besides that I love science, space, nature, technology channels, etc. Not into reality shows or lots of major network series...who has time? Not me.

Books:

I adore Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, must read it once a year at least, along with the Hobbit and The Silmarillion. I also read a lot of non fiction...like facts more than fiction...but also love a good mystery too. Never been into romance novels but have read a few erotica books that got my attention ;-)

Heroes:

People who stand up for who they are and what they believe, who fight for what they want and to do the right thing.
