Poetic Rock has been a busy DJ and Producer since 1988. He released
numerous sound carriers including more than 50 Mixtapes. In 1999, Poetic
toured Germany & Switzerland with Germany..s leading Rap Poetry Crew
Zentrifugal (JIVE Rec.). He did shows in Canada (Toronto, Montreal,
Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa, Quebec, ...), Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki),
Italy (Rome), Kazakhstan (Almaty, Asia), Georgia (Tblisi, Asia), Poland
(Szeczin, Poznan, Bydgoscz, Wloclawek, ...) and Mexico (Cuernavaca,
Morelos). Poetic Rock performed at the 2000 World EXPO!
Poetic Rock's work reflect substance & creativity. He opened for Ugly Duckling, Guru (Gangstarr/Jazzmatazz), Def Jux, DJ Vadim, Eins Zwo, Giant
Panda, Marc Hype & Killa Kela, Dr. Ring-Ding, Helmut Zerlett..s Trance
Groove, Lyrical Poetry and much much more. He did guest appearances on
Canadian Television at Tele Quebec's TV Show "Le choix de Sophie" and
performed on German TV at the ZDF Nachtstudio. Poetic Rock produced several Radio Mixshows for 101.2 FM (RB4) and performed with Mr. Bob Holman (founder of the legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe) at the International Poetry Festival 2002 in Berlin.
What does it take to be a Hip-Hop DJ? Poetic taught Kids in schools and cultural organizations, he was able to publish a Music and Graffiti Mag in the mid-90s and set the Music to Graff Videos. Germany's leading Rap Magazine
JUICE recommended his Mixtapes in their reviews, and later wrote an article on his work. He did shows on div. Hip-Hop Jams, B-Boy Battles, Graffiti Exhibitions, and appeared in a theatre performance of Feridun Zaimoglu..s
"Kanak Sprak" at the "Junges Theater" Bremen.
