Omnia Mutantur, Nihil Interit --- Everything Changes, Nothing is Lost

About Me

What've I been up to lately? About 5'9", normally. Although during the Blood Moon, sometime last week, it was viciously rumored that I'm 6'2". My inner child is furiously engaged in a systematic campaign to deny this preposterous slander as we speak. I TRULY believe in: free speech - not censorship; acceptance - not condemnation (although tolerance will do in a pinch); faith - not religion; the orgasm - not the embargo; education - not ignorance (and hell, FREE education while we're at it); the Yin AND the Yang; passion, drums, and love. I'm all for civil rights, personal responsibility, real life, fantasy, revolution, healing, dreaming, screaming, and scheming. I PASSIONATELY HATE the American culture of Victimhood that, among other things, allows fat people to sue fast food joints, Presidents who bankrupt America for a resource we shouldn't be using anyway, bad tv (which is most of it, frankly), and enforced clothing unless absolutely necessary. I think all right-thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary decent people in this country are fed up with being told that they're sick and tired. I'm certainly not. And I'm sick and tired of being told that I am. oh yeah -- and Weird Al is at least a major demigod. So whenever you feel yourself sliding down into that pool of existential angst and you can't grasp the Meaning Of It All, just ponder to yourself: Control for smilers can't be bought. The solar garlic starts to rot. Was it for this my life I sought? Maybe so and maybe not...

Music:

Mostly, strange tunes I can't quite recall, but remember some distant Aunt singing to me when I was around 5 or so. Also, random ensembles of Jazz drummers and Aboriginal digeridoo players have been known to follow me around on Thursdays.

Movies:

None, unless you count my appearances involving BOTH: 3-D.......and nakedness. OH WAITAMINNIT! This is about movies I LIKE! Oooookay. Too many to name, actually. It's more interesting if you just ask me anyway.

Television:

as little as possible. regular TV sucks ass. except for South Park. and Carnivale on HBO was the best show since Twin Peaks.

Books:

More than you could imagine. I eat books. One after the other. I have even been known to poop books out again, though by that point, none of them were worthy of anything more impressive than a quick blurb on Jerry Springer. But if I have to choose, I'll say this much: The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost ARE: 1. Tom Robbins 2. Neil Gaiman 3. Paolo Coelho

Heroes:

Um....I had an uncle who thought he was St. Jerome....
