About Me

To Write Love On Her Arms...Hey there, my name is Steffie. I am the female kind of the human species, obviously. I have found my penguin, my partner for life, my love, my hope, my faith, my everything. His name is Dennis and I am very proud to have him by my side. I am a photographer, you can read more about that under the headline *General*.I grew up breathing music with made me pretty much addicted to it. More about that you can read under the headline *Music*.My friends mean the world to me and I am very loyal to them. If they have a problem I will try to do anything that’s within my reach to help them. They know who they are.I really like animals, especially dogs and cats. I own a dog called Drum and he’s the cutest, sweetest, silliest creature ever and I love him very much. Seeing animal cruelty makes me go bezerk. I support organisations such as Peta but please, no more cruel video’s and photographs! Please, I can’t take it. I must admit that I’m a proud member of WWF.Another (Non profit) organisation I support is To Write Love On Her Arms. These guys have started a movement, they changed the lives of many people and offer help to people all over the world. Please help them to continue do this job. There is still hope, love is the movement.“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.” Corinthians 13.13

My Interests

I’m a photographer, this means I take pretty pictures of people / nature / things / stuff / the world / anything. Being a photographer, to me, means seeing the beauty this world holds and showing it to other people. There are so many beautiful things you miss out on in your everyday life. It’s my job to stop and look around me and discover the beauty this world holds for us.Recently I had my first wedding photo shoot. I hope to do a lot more of them in the future. Also I’m planning to do model photo shoots. So if you want to model for me so I can gain experience and you live in The Netherlands, let me know. Maybe we can arrange something. In the future I hope to get my own studio together with Dennis, which we’re already working on right now. Last of all… Please, keep your hands of my photography. I work hard to make such pictures. It’s not as easy as taking a snap shot with your everyday compact camera. I ask people to pay me if I make photographs for them cause I put in a lot of effort to make the perfect photographs. It takes a lot of time and years of learning, plus a lot of money for the right equipment. Next to that, there is such a thing as copyright. ... Seeing Mew ... ... Play live ... ... Was the best thing ... ... ever ...When I was a little kid, I pretty much grew up breathing music. My dad being a musician, I learned how to play the organ and piano at a very young age. My sister (Who is 10,5 years older than I am) was always watching MTV, guess who was watching along?? Me and my other sister! When I was about 3 I would sneak up to her room to listen to Bon Jovi together with her. This is how I became a huge Bon Jovi fan, while still being in kindergarten. We always used to listen to The Beatles and Pink Floyd dancing and singing along in the room. But when my parents were away we also listened to things like Hanson and The Kelly Family, not to forget the amazing Spice Girls! ;) This really shaped my own musical taste which is, obviously, widely ranged. Here’s a short list of my favourite bands, but there are a lot more. Books:

I’m what people like to call, a bookworm. I’ve read so many books I lost count of it. My mom used to work at a Library so I learned reading at a very young age (must have been around 3). I loved going over to the Library on Saturday, spending my entire morning reading and looking through books.Currently I am reading books by a writer called Torey Hayden. This woman writes such beautiful books in such a beautiful way. It totally takes my breathe away. So far I only read two of her books (Twilight Children and Ghost Girl) but I’m planning on buying and reading all of them.I must say it’s hard on me on having to make an all time favourite books list. Because there are simply too many books I read. But… I’ll try to make a list of my favourite books.
