About Me
The Moor is a publication that revolves around writing and satellites illustration and photography. It hails out of pure love of the aforementioned arts. It has been conceived and birthed by a collective of independent publishers and it is edited to remain a treat, a little object that will rest in your hands while trying to cradle in your thoughts.
It combines, to the best of our abilities, narrative material with a visual representation of the author's metaphors, written hopes, and lyrical expressions.
The aim of The Moor is solely to provide the reader with an enhancement of these artists' work, a more profound insight on their thought, or on their affiliations. Contemporaneously, The Moor's pages hope to underline it's title's literal meaning and make treading out of it difficult for those who cross. We expect rich textures and deep links between the text and the visuals.
We want to treat text as a beauty,
we want to treat visuals as text.
It is topic-based, that is, every issue will feature a subject-matter, which will set a beacon to which all submissions (should) direct their prow, although astray courses are naturally expected.
It is invite only, that is, as a collective, we will try to interest artists who we regard as appropriate to kindly submit material. Alight on printed paper, that material will then be available (at the sole cost of the printing) to anyone who'll be interested.
Hopefully we'll have collected enough material to publish a no.00 towards this summer, with golden air and silenced streets.
