I opened the window to my soul and looked on the walls of my heart and saw poetry... every time I walk down the streets of the ghetto I hear poetry.... when I make love to a man I feel poetry....this poetry is everywhere I jumped into the bottle of liquor I was drinking and swam with my demons it was after that swim when I wrote one of my best poems when I fall asleep my mind hops in the drivers seat and takes me to a land of metaphors and introduces me to verbal predators who show me the way to find words and kill them man this poetry is everywhere its in my walk my talk the music I listen to sends poetic messages to my spirit and speaks to my mind in unknown languages this poetry is everywhere When I open up a book I erase the words and look into the eyes of the authors pen to see where he has been I destroy poets and then become there friend my poetry isn't about the revolution its about me being meand talking the way I talk and walking the way I walk I do not want it televised I'd rather have my poetry emailed to every person on the planet so maybe they can understand things I don't what I do know is this poetry the poetry that I like to hear is everywhere
