Demons of the Confederacy

Fuck Country! It burned me!

About Me

Starting over in Jan of 2008 DoC has returned! We promise to deal out all the death and destruction you can handle. In Jan. of 2008 DoC was blessed with the presence of Brian Hudson on vocals, and Donnie Weis on drums. And in March of 2008 we welcomed Steve Flaherty to the ranks. Finally we are starting to get a lineup again!
DoC has a distinct sound that is at once reminescent of old Black Sabbath mixed in with Black Label Society. With Smith’s - Zakk Wylde - influenced squealing pinch harmonics and riffs that dig a 40-foot deep trench, and with Flaherty’s killer crunch grooves, and Hudsons Pantera meets Sepultura style vocals, then mix in a jackhammer on drums (Donnie), DoC has a sound that is simultaneously bone pulverizing and earthy, while at the same time heavilly influenced by South Carolina clay mud, cotton mills, Civil War history, and everyday blue-collar, working man, southern rock.
If you like Starbuck’s coffee, Abercrombie and Fitch clothing, My Chemical Romance, stupid haircuts, and black eyeliner, you might want to click on through. If, however, you’re ready for some earth-moving classic metal/southern rock...the kind you cut your teeth on back in the day on the radio...then Demons of the Confederacy promises to deliver all you can hold.

Sounds Like: An army of undead confederate soldiers slowly and inexorably invading the northern states with mayhem and slaughter in mind. Or, to put it another way...an airplane full of lead crashing into a barge full of tar.

"I worked night and day for twelve years to prevent the war, but I could not. The North was mad and blind, would not let us govern ourselves, and so the war came." - Jefferson Davis (CSA)
