About Me

I am a San Antonio native who was trained on the drum set by local great, Jeff Ryder. I currently study a few different styles of percussion with Jeff Ryder, Alice Gomez, Darren Kuper, and Neftali Medina. I have played with a number of local acts, such as Miss Neesie & The Earfood Orchestra, Elle, Rebeca, and Sofa Kingdom.
I currently play with the groups Laura Marie, Matt Barker, The Marimba Quest Duo featuring Alice Gomez, Lynette Brehm, and on occassion Jean-Phillippe Rominger, Paul Harper, Mwendo Drummers, and whoever happens to get called for the gig at Stefania's Country Italian or Delores Del Rio.

I am also very honored to have recorded bata and djun djun drum tracks for my good friend Ron Wilkins new album with another good friend T-Bow Gonzalez (Mwendo Drummers) playing djembe and talking drum.
I am currently a percussion instructor at Jeff Ryder's Drum Shop in Austin, The Carver Community Cultural Center, Aspire Academy, and High School Music Services. I also have a number of private students. If you are interested in private drum and/or percussion lessons, please contact me at [email protected]
