About Me

Toothy-grinning : tuxedo-wearing : deep-thinking : fun-loving : sauvignon-sipping : creative-writing : continent-hopping : political-maneuvering : hardest-working member of the human race : ASK ABOUT ME.For those of you who are wondering, I'm from a small town nestled in southeastern Michigan, best known for making old soul music and combustion engine motor-carriages. It's French pronunciation is "day-twah" - perhaps you've heard of it?

I'd like to meet:

"people said Hova was ova, such dummies/even if i fell, I'd land on a bunch of money." Right now, I wouldn't mind breaking open a bottle of Ace of Spades with da god emcee. Stay tuned for updates and additions.

Music:

CURRENTLY IN HEAVY ROTATION: Amy Winehouse is next up, Steve Spacek is seriously being slept on, and I love every disk in the Fader Mixtapes. Eric Roberson's new joint (Left) also has some beautiful ballads. And no one's sleeping on Lil' Wayne, but that dude has really stepped his game up and deserves some props - I don't care how old he is. I LOVE dirty south krunk music, ambient chillout, tru-school hip hop, alt-rock, afro-cubist jazz and more. Holla if you're a fellow collector or you want to sample my wares...

Movies:

I'M PARTIAL TO THE OLDIES but goodies, like Big Trouble in Little China, City of God, As Good as it Gets, True Romance, The Good Thief, Shawshank Redemption, Payback. People often say I'm a dead ringer for Taye Diggs, so I'd also vouch for The Best Man, Brown Sugar and Equilibrium :)

Television:

24 is AMERICA'S GREATEST TV SHOW, but when it's not on, I'll occasionally watch Family Guy : This Week with George Stephanopolous : The Wire : cooking shows

Books:

Million Dollar Consulting : Allen Weiss : The Alchemist : Paulo Coelho : Love Poems : Nikki Giovanni : Confessions of an Economic Hitman : John Perkins : Black Power Inc : Cora Daniels : Invisible Man : Ralph Ellison

Heroes:

Superman, Mr. Fantastic, Jean Grey, Wolverine. Wait, did you mean real people?
