I adopted a cute lil' viking fetus from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus! I'm obviously not looking for any dates or anything of the sort, I'm quite happily married but I would really love to make some friends.I don't get to meet many people. I'd like to find some people with common interests as myself. As you'll see in my interests, I'm a big geek. I used to spend all day playing dungeons and dragons and although as a father I know I can't spend that kind of time being a geek, I would like to meet some other gamers and maybe get back into it. I'm also a pagan/heathen spiritually speaking and would love to meet others in the area not only for friendship and conversation but also to maybe get involved in the practice of my religion. I love almost all kinds of music. About all I don't listen to is christian music. My big musical vice though is broadway. I am addicted to musicals, something my wife and I have very much in common. Books:

Reading is my true passion, the one vice I cannot give up. I cannot go a day without a book to read. I honestly just can't understand someone who doesn't like to read and when I look at a person's profile for the first time, their books section is the first thing i look at. I could never list all the books I've read but here's a listing of my favorites. Anything by Stephen King or Dean Koontz. Anne Rice's vampire chronicles. The anita blake vampire hunter series by Laurell Hamilton. The Dragonlance books by margaret weis and tracy hickman. R.A.Salvatore's Dark Elf books. Robert Jordan's Wheel of time series. Harry Potter,Harry Potter,Harry Potter!!! The necroscope series by Brian Lumely. Bram Stokers Dracula. As you can see I'm a big horror and fantasy dork, lol. I'm also a massive comic book nerd as I've said previously. My favorite comics are mostly Marvel titles although I do like a little DC, well mainly just Batman. My favorite character is the Hulk, followed by spiderman,the X-men, and so forth.

Heroes:

There are alot of fictional characters I could list as heroes,particularly comic book characters like Batman and the Hulk, but true heroes are real people that you look to for inspiration and I've known quite a few truly heroic people. My greatest heroes have been my grandparents. All four of them were great people. My fraternal grandparents practically raised me and are responsible for so much of what is good about me. My maternal grandparents have always been heroes not just to me but to my entire hometown. they had the strength to raise seven children, one of which has severe down's syndrome and who has required their love and care well into adulthood. Few people have that kind of love in their heart. My grandmothers are both still in my life and are deeply appreciated. Sadly both of my grandfathers have passed on and not a day goes by that I don't miss them. Beyond those heroes in my own life, I deeply admire and respect anyone who has the courage to be different. Anyone who can stand up to the ignorant and narrow-minded and be themselves, the faithful of minority religions who aren't afraid to practice their beliefs in strongly christian communities, the people who are brave enough to be openly gay, the single mothers who have the strength to raise their children though others may condeme them. Those are real heroes as are the men and women brave enough to risk their lives for the well being of others, such as police oficers, fire fighters, and millitary personel.
