hardcore, edge, veganism...
After some unfinished business in the mid 90's with the long defunct
American located ATC (Andrew Thomas company), the reason i recieved two shirt designs
instead of some money was because of an outstanding debt they
owed me, one of these designs was the infamous STORMTROOPER
image, the other one said 'Leia kicks ass', a beautiful design that will
be printed on a piece of merch hopefully one day ... I always had an
interest in doing merch and in printing loud and bold slogans on
t-shirts, in the early 90's i did PPP Europe, which made a big name
worldwide coz of it's loud and clear drugfree messages, remember
the "it's ok not to drink" shirt, often bootlegged by various companies
these days, maybe these will see the light of day again as well...
Anyway, it was 1998 while on a plane on my vacation to the US, that i
thought up the whole 24 concept, i made some sketches and when i
returned home, the 24 logo was born, and in the meantime, i bought
some drawings from Dave Quiggle (xDisciplex ). The angel design
and the stormtrooper design where amoung the first line 24 made
available to the public, and still going strong.
24 stands for the 24th letter in our alphabet, which is the 'X', it stands
for straight edge and the whole philosophy involved, but lately 24 has
become more of a brand that is worn by a wide variety of people, even
those who aren't sXe seem to enjoy our product, there's a vast
mixture of designs, something for everyone!
24 has it's roots in hardcore and punk and we will always remain true
to the scene, we create amazing quality stuff for an affordable and
decent price, it doesn..t cost an arm or a leg to get our designs.24 is heavily influenced by old skateboard companies and their
artwork,...Dogtown, Santa Cruz, Powell & Peralta and even some of
the more modern companies that still brandish the old school touch
like Black Label, Hollywood and Zero. We are also into all kinds of
tattoo artwork and old science fiction such as StarWars, Planet Of The
Apes, Battlestar Galactica and even old horror and shock movies,
these images you will find on the site very soon,
These designs are made as vintage iron-ons for the good old
fashioned heat press system, like they used in the late 1970's
Check our site now and then, and see what were are up to...
