Influences: one of my influences is my partner prodigal, who has been a blessing the entire time i new him. Crossmovement, Da Truth, Grits, Kirk Franklin, Donnie MCclurkin, my moms, and all those who grew up with me and didn’t make it.
But most of all my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his disciples. i love my kids with all my heart, they are the glue that holds me together, they are the string, that ties me to a continue a straight walk with Christ. I grew up in the street life, going to school in the morning, and selling drugs by the after noon. I always had a independant spirit, so when my moms couldnt work because she lost one lung do to chronical asthma, i took things into my own hands. At 16 i was arrested for two ounces of cocaine, and sent to do a year upstate, by the age 18 i was full fledge in the drug game, by 19 my friends started getting killed, by brother was shot on the side of my house, my cousin up the block. I became depressed at my life, and started drinking heavy. I moved to Syracuse to escape,but took me with me, and was robbed one night in my home, and beat half to death with a crow bar and gun, while my daughter who was two at the time, was laying on the couch. In 1999 i prayed for God to take me out the life i was living and three days later, i was arrested. Facing 8 and 1/2 to 15, i prayed again to God, and he told me to tell the truth and he would get me out of it. So i did and the judge gave me 3 and a 1/2 years with 5 on the back. I got out in three years, and Now am a Minister of music, with 4 cds out, and two Awards.
