I came to vegas for the 1st time in april of 03, just stayed one night at the I.P. while i was passing through on my way back home to the bay. It was my first time home (san jose) in 5 years and i was living at my mom's house and it just didn't feel right, 5 days later i was on a bus to vegas with $127 dollars in my pocket. i stayed at a hostel for 10 bucks a night and after droping about 80 aplications without any call backs i realized my money wouldn't carry me too far. so, one of the guys at the hostel told me about a half way house, a sober living community that would take me in for no money, just on the promise that i would stay sober, and pay them back once i got on my feet. I lived there for 7 months.
