It’s exactly this image-conscious attitude that society programmes into our minds that make us so vain and insecure about ourselves. If we don’t conform to what is deemed as beautiful by Vogue magazine then we are ugly losers undeserving of any friends. This world puts too much emphasis on our outward appearance, which will inevitably rot, no matter how much work you’ve had done. Once you're dead, it won’t matter what height or weight you were, or how much acne you had. You’re either gonna go to heaven or hell, and neither God or the devil’s gonna care how clear your skin was. I’m going to heaven coz I believe that I’m a sinner and I deserve to burn in hell for all eternity, YET Jesus (who was the son of God) took that punishment for me. So I’m living my life in response to that truth. If you start believing the same thing, you’ll go to heaven. If you don’t believe that Jesus has paid the penalty for your sins, then you go ahead and pay for it yourself and carry on regardless.
