Things that interest me are things like the sky, stars or anything in nature. I like to bowl, play and watch basketball, and football. I am always interested in learning about new cultures and places. I speak French semi-fluently and I have spoken Spanish in the past but I am not fluent in either. I am interested in knowing about different religious ideologies as wellHowever, I have my limits of interest, nothing too far fetched. Don't get it twisted I love Jesus Christ first and of all. I am not at all boring... So if anyone is reading this don't let the words fool you; I am very entertaining at times. LOL. I just don't believe I can sum myself up in words alone!
I'd like to meet people that are expressive and intellectual, spiritual and humorous. Please no drama! I like people who are able to communicate on any level of within reason, of course. I love people in general.
I am a HIP HOP junky, a baby of R & B and my soul is fed off GOSPEL. nuff said! But anyway you all can check out Mary J Blige new one is hot, Kanye West is always hot, Kirk Franklin new one is nice. But don't sleep on my nephew Damien 'da paperboi' coming to record stores soon with a debut for one time only from the one and only auntie T.. you got it Teresa (me) we teamed up to give it to ya! it is hot so any producers you know tell 'em holla at me!
Movies I like are as follows: Five Heartbeats, Love & Basketball (of course), Brown Suga, Sling Blade, Brother Bear, Spiderman, anything Batman, X-men, Color Purple, anything Tyler Perry makes, anything with Denzel especially Man on Fire but excluding Training Day (hated it!). I like anything with Katt Williams (his is so funny).
Don't do t.v. much but I do like a few shows BET Comicview, Nick Cannon's new one Wildn Out, Girlfriends, oh yeh and any NBA games or WNBA games that are on t.v.
Must reads, anything Afro-American writers of the early ages wrote had to be good because they were never taught to read let alone writematter of fact they weren't even seen as human beings enough to be believed to have had a thought process...Anyway I may have offended some of you but hey that is me! I make no excuse for who I am! ANYWAY I love Langston Hughes' book of poetry (Negro Speaks of Rivers), August Wilson, Henry Louis Gates Jr., Charles Weldon Johnson "the Autobiography of an Ex-Coloured Man," Sophicles tales, Candide tales, Montagnine essays (read the one Of Glory). ANd of course the Bible. Sorry folks when it comes to books I don't read much Sci-fi or Fictional because it doesn't do much to edify me.
My heroes are GOD, my parents, Martin Luther King Jr. and anyone that can deal with me on a regular basis, LOL/jk.
