I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I live alone on a farm by the levee and won't have it any other way.

I am passionate and intense. If you lie to me, I will be hurt. I do not always make the best decisions but I am very good at rationalizing those decisions.

I would not call myself a "people person", I'd most times rather be alone and shirk the masses altogether. If I am feeling friendly, however, I'm sweet as pie, teeming with choreographic fire, and should probably be home drawing. Please remind me of this.

I love my pittie and my mutt. I'm a damn good cook. I collect books. I love sincere, considerate people. I am a dreamer and an inventor. I do math problems in my head for fun. I write everything down lest I forget.

I believe in success through being proactive and following my dreams. I consider success and happiness to be synonymous. I try not to wear my heart on my sleeve but it usually ends up there.

I am rather disappointed in humanity as a whole. I am an observer, and a judgemental one at that. I strive for the best and accept no less.

My Interests

Living in the country, standing on the levee as the queen of all I survey, clouds and the sky they live in, success, understanding myself and others, cursive-script-letters-alphabets, the underbelly of society, raising chickens, sketchbooks, riverbanks, islands, building things with wood or metal, welding, cutting things with the torch, cutting things with the saw, derby cars, drawing, making papercuts, voluntary transitioning, smelling kneaded erasers, evolving, gourmet cooking, sipping coffee, ignoring people, pickles, scrabble, being ambivalent, pit bulls, sushi, steak, reubens, celery, tattooing, county seats, duty-free shops, wearing jeans, cracking skulls, fried chicken (not my chickens), planting trees, treehouses, my doggies, looking around, observing the stars, minimalism, clutter, motorcycles, 4 wheelers, bonfires, collecting mouse skeletons, collecting any skeletons, eating raspberries, how the plight of the indians led to an eruption of casinos, stepping on cracks, and a little bit of writing here and there. Flood Part 3: The water is ever rising

Last night by 8 pm the seep water had come up so high that my sump pump couldn't keep up. My pump house flooded just as I was doing the last of the dishes, then that was it, no more running water. The...

Flood Part 2: Friday the 13th

The energy in the air is becoming more intense here in the midwest. Today I saw an entire house being moved out of the flood plain on a flat-bed trailer. It was blazing down the road heading away from...

The 500 year flood that came every 15 years.

First of all, allow me to state that we haven't flooded *YET*......Yesterday my neighbor flagged me down--I only have two neighbors within a mile of me--as I was heading into town. She was nearly hyst...

My life's only excitements always involve carnage.

Shortly after waking this morning, I heard the dog's desperate yips from the woods, a sure signal that he has treed a possum or run across a stray dog. I hopped on the four wheeler and headed back to ...

Hollow Points + Possum = Goodbye Chicken Killer

The dogs drug a possum up to the house that was lurking around the chicken coop. One might suggest that having a savage pit bull around the house is a dangerous and risky situation, but this dog won't...
