About Me

My name is Will, I'm 27, living in New York. I graduated from college in December, 2001, and I enjoyed it so much, I decided to do twice (again in May, 2007). Filmmaker, weight lifter, movie goer, music lover, Gastronome. Sesquipedalian. I like conversation, which is funny because I hate telephones. I'm an "in person" kind of guy.
My drinks are Guinness and Jager, I'm a member of numerous clubs that amazingly would have me. I'm a cinematographer and DP, I've shot digitally, 16mm and even 35mm. For as observant as I am, I probably should have noted my childhood affinity for pointing lights at things.
Currently, I work as a freelance cameraman, grip or electrician in film production, commercials and music videos. Please pardon my current demo reel, I need to update it with a few recent projects.
I want to backpack throughout southeast Asia and travel extensively. Luckily, I'm entering a field where my willingness to live out of hotels and work 6 days a week will help me achieve that goal. Even better, I'll get to photograph those places.
I don't read books compulsively, but I've read a fair amount. I have a high retension rate for what I read, but as a trade off, I read very slowly. I watch a lot of movies, and I look forward to the day when my knowledge of human emotion gives me the confidence to direct films from my heart that are compelling and important.
I'm told I'm a funny guy, but I guess my humor always falls flat in online "self summaries".
