The Tea Monkeys

Welcome to the HANGING BASKETS OF BABYLON!

About Me

THANKS FOR VISITING OUR PAGE!

"Congratulations on a great sound...A GREAT BAND!" - Dean Jackson, presenter of The Beat on East Midlands BBC radio.

"The lads have fine tuned their unusual rock-meets-reggae sound to great effect. Their debut album "Hanging Baskets of Babylon" combines this sound with essences of funk and folk, giving the tracks an eclectic, chilled feel..." - 69 Magazine who placed The Tea Monkeys second in the 15 hottest bands to emerge during 2007!

"When The Tea Monkeys took to the stage there was a real buzz, which is to be expected when you have a band this talented. Their rock-meets-reggae-meets crowd enthusiasm style is as close to perfect for the mood of the night as possible, as they ran through a superior set. 'Something in This Alcohol' is a stellar track, yet it was with their anthem 'Light Up' that the room became alive with dancing, singing and many smiles. This is a classic song, and provided the moment of the night." - Ollie of Demos Reviewed, who awarded our track Light Up second place in the best songs of 2007!
