About Me

I try very hard to be honest with myself about what I want and then I set about getting it. Usually the things I end up wanting take a great deal of effort and time but I'm pretty good at staying the course. I'm a person who is motivated by instict emotion and logic. If I watch a movie, hear a song or read a book and am inspired or moved I will uproot my entire life in an effort to follow the new path that the particular artform has set me on.I will consider my life well lived if I have more often than not done the things that scared the hell out of me, I believe that God expects that of me and all of us.

My Interests

Acting, Shakespeare Theater, Improv Comedy, Stand-up Comedy

I'd like to meet:

Shondra Rhimes. John Mayer. Starsky and Cox. Maggie Gyllenhaal. Martha Plimpton. Sanaa Lathan. My Match.

Music:

John Mayer - I think he is so right on. Holding a special place in my heart is "Why Georgia," the song that ironically came onto my stereo just as I crossed the state line driving into Georgia leaving behind what would have been a cushy lawyer lifestyle and heading instead toward an uncertain future as an actress in Florida. While walking down the path less chosen, I will always honor the soundtrack that gave me the courage to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Christina Aguilera - Love this woman, she's powerful and a little crazy. She's the writer of my theme song "Fighter."

Trash Talking the South

So, I'm standing at the copier making small talk with a lawyer. I tell her that I moved up here from VA. With a chuckle she responds, "Sounds like a good move to me." Are you kidding me...
