About Me

...Well it all started just over 25 years ago in the small town of Brantford, Ontario. I was brought into the world by a single mom who worked her ass off to support my brother and I. We moved around the town alot going from school to school while growing up.I stuck to sports mainly growing up but always had a die hard passion for music. 80's metal and 90's grunge were my first and strongest influences musically. It wasnt until the end of high school that I started writting and performing music on stage.Because of guitar machine Jeff Love I was able to get my first chance at fronting a band called LaKoTA Gathering Brad Child on Bass n drum wizard and younger Love brother, Kyle we were set to play. LaKoTA went on to play shows in town with bands like, the Vermious Knid,Showerhead,Virginia Tea,Stuart Wilson band and Chaser. Eventually Rob Eddy would arrive on the scene replacing Brad Child. LaKoTA continue to play local shows before deciding to finally pack it in 2001.Jeff and Kyle later on went to join Rob eddy and Schlyar Wilson in a great band called GReeDYFeeDR...you have to check them out! After this I decided I wanted to branch out musically and left the stage to learn and write on acoustic gutair in spare time. While attending Sir Sandford Fleming College, I began playin the acoustic and coffee house scene of Peterborough with fellow jammers from classes. Eventually I met a incredibly talented guitar player named Trevor Jones and formed STiTCH THeoRY. Trev and I continued to play while I attented the school and wrote a 11 song album that may never make it to the studio. After 4 years in Peterborough I decided to return to the home town and start playin in south western ontario.Once I returned home I recruited guitar ace Cory Mercer and started playing at places like take a break and Liquid Lounge. We ran an open mic at Take a Break until Cory returned to Sudbury for the school of rock in Sudbury. After Cory left, Chris Jones,Ryan and Jason Rattie with Cliff Lardy form BLiND ECKO. ALthough we only played on live show at the Alexanders, the members have continued to jamm and form other projects in good spirits. In march of 2006 I was told of an audition for a local band (SU8CK) (pronounced SUCK8) which just returned from L.A. winning a Mecora music award for independant artist of the year. Thanks to Tyler merril I was able to get ahold of those guys last minute for the final audition before they made their decision. After two and a half songs I was lucky enough to get the gig and start working the stage with a full electric band for the first time in almost 5 years. I continued to work with the guys from Su8ck for almost two years. It was a great experience and I learned alot of new things about song writting and recording and met a alot of great ppl along the way.As of Novemember 11th, 2007 I will begin to work on a collection of songs that I have written since high school. Its going to be an exciting yet intimidating experience writting and choosing which songs and direction to go with this new solo project. Luckily I will have the help of a great musician and producer Gibb Love. He is a very experienced and talented person who has a great ear and personality. So now I'll be in working with local musicians on this and I am extremely excited!I live eat, sleep and breathe music. I couldnt imagine not having music in my life...with out it, I think life would be pointless... Im into electric gigs and love acoustic... I write most of my music on my acoustic Ibanez and dabble in harmonica and congas...Im very passionate about music, movies and life...as long as ur down with music, I will most likely add you....so drop me a line sometime...:) Cheers, C-VoX
