About Me

I have lived in Florida 32 of my 35 years and I love this state!! I am a huge fan of Disney. I love that I live near the ocean even though we never go to the beach. I am married to a great guy and we have an awesome daughter. I am a former teacher. I have also worked as a manager at a paint-your-own-pottery store. I still work park time but I mostly stay home with my daughter. I also spend time on the computer over-seeing the message board at Point of the Cutlass- a place for all things piratical.

My Interests

Hanging out with my daughter (and hubby)! Roadtrips!! Going to themeparks! Wendy (from Peter Pan) is my absolute most favorite Disney character.

I'd like to meet:

Most of the 'famous' people I would like to meet are dead. I loved Vincent Price and Jim Varney. I am really interested in the semi-famous people who are strange and unique. Movie stars hold no interest for me-at least not the really famous ones.

Music:

Beck, Blue Hawaiians, Jimmy Buffet, Daniel Amos, Martin Denny, Danny Elfman, Elvis, Gorillaz, Libera, Spice Girls, They Might Be Giants, Weird Al, Most Disney themepark music, Sci-fi theme songs, some bluegrass music, hawaiian/tiki/lounge music, classic broadway tunes, big band, most anything odd and quirky

Movies:

Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea, Cloverfield, Dumbo, Ernest Scared Stupid, For Richer or Poorer, Hot Fuzz, Jaws 3 Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Peter Pan, Sense and Sensibility, Shaun of the Dead

Television:

Charlie and Lola, Coupling, Doctor Who, The Golden Girls, Heroes, Laverne and Shirley, Lost, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Spaced, The Tick, X-Files, Reality Shows (Amazing Race, So You Think You Can Dance), Many shows on Discovery Health, some Food Network (Barefoot Contessa, Good Eats, Ace of Cakes)

Books:

Harry Potter series, Pilgrims Progress, Stephanie Plum series, anything by Jimmy Buffet, Eliot Kleinberg or Jeff Klinkenberg, Reader's Digest, Florida Ghost Stories, any books about the weird and unusual

Heroes:

My husband. He is awesome!! My daughter. She was born a 2 1/2lb premie but she never had any health problems or complications. Looking at her today you would never know she started out so small. :)

There is always something new.

I don't know what is more gross-that someone felt the need to create a "throwing-up" zombie (as if zombies spitting up blood wasn't nasty enough OR the big wet stain surrounding the thing....

One of the best names ever!

I love the cheap and tacky!

Is it a picture of Johnny? Or a knock-off from the Haunted Mansion?? Either way it is fabulous! Found it for $5.00 at our local Walgreens....
