ATIP Bio:
"with youth and an inventiveness on their side, they’re worth a second look" - BBC Wales/Music
"Musically and technically they couldnt be faulted and seem sure to be going places" - MidWales Music Scene
These are just a couple of descriptions of Atragedyinprogress. Forming Late ’04, ATIP are already making a name for themselves. 4 young welshmen with a shared passion for music are destroying the stage at every venue they play! Mixing post-hardcore with screamo with some electro elements, ATIP are a fresh new sound for the Mid-Wales area, with each band member bringing their own personal influences into the ATIP-Sound. The bands passion is clearly shown through their stage performance, these guys are blatantly not afraid to move around the stage a little! Just check them out live to see for yourselves! Within the first few months of being a band ATIP headed to Drummers Hill Studio to record their debut EP ’Come Back And Dance With Me’. Shortly after recording the EP, ATIP played their first show! From audience response, it was clear that Atragedyinprogress were a hit with the crowd, who were amazed how professional the band sounded/acted, considering this was was their first show! Since then the ATIP-Fanbase has grown day-by-day! With fans from Wales, England, Scotland,
even reaching over the pond to the U.S.A! What next for ATIP...?
Only time will tell....

""Interestingly the small mountain town of Talgarth sits in the shadow of the Black Mountains, lurking in this shadow you have A Tragedy in Progress, not literally, but in the form of four men who have picked that name for their Post Hardcore band! It was these entertaining performers who took to the Hampton stage early in the afternoon. These guys set about upping the tempo a notch or five! Fast and boisterous screamo, with an added synthesised element, gave this band their own uniqueness. This was particularly evident in the track One Guy, Two Girls, I Like The Odds. Lead singer Ki Picton dons some interesting body art, and he growled and screamed with worrying ferocity, but for most it was Andrew Grahams synthesised sample mastering which made this band stand out. Musically and technically they couldnt be faulted and seem sure to be going places, they already have a growing local fan base that is spreading by the day""
Thanks to Kevin from Mid Wales Music Scene for our first ever review, and damn, it ain’t half bad!!
