In 1997, Mads and Jon picked up two guitars and formed the band Kukahud. It was a acoustic band with two guitars, a bass and our brother Ørjan Håland on vocals. After about a year they recorded seven songs on the CD Æsfod. The only two copies of it is missing, but it contains some classic tunes, such as Knut and Fresh. After their first gig, involving an unfortunate mix of homemade booze, a guitar and being 14, the band had to change their name to Skilt. In the new band Mads played drums, and Jon started to sing. By the end of 1999 Skilt had recorded their classic album Born in the Norway, a collection of 19 songs recorded over two periods in 1999. Its a very poppunk album, with the worst vocals ever recorded on any tape. The band continued to exist into 2002. At that time, Alex and Remi played bass and guitar in the punkrockband the Pissføkks. In 2002 Jon and Alex moved to the other side of the country to study music for a year, and there they formed the band called Sverre, which recorded a couple of songs over the year. Back home Remi joined the remains of Skilt to form Strapons. It was a hardrocking punkband. They made a fivesong demo and played a couple of gigs in the hometown. When Jon and Alex returned to the westcoast of Norway, after a stay in Oslo, they paired up with Mads and started to make songs, still under the name Sverre. This was in 2003, and Wheres the President was the first song they ever made together. 23 december 2003, Mads, Jon and Alex decided to call the band Manheads (a mix of Manowar and Motorhead) and Remi joined them when StrapOns became history in 2004. Manheads as we know it was born, and its still young. Manheads has recorded two demos, played about 15 shows in Bergen, can be found on Punk in Disguise vol 2 and Bergen Rock City vol 1 which is to be released in China any time soon.Manheads kommer for å spille toit tett tung og sexy stonerpunk. chicks dig it,,,.For booking:
