About Me

Mavarick was born in Brooklyn, New York 1987. In his early childhood he and his parent lived in Brooklyn but, throughout his school years they continuously moved almost every year due to financial hardships and the high cost of living. One of the places they moved to was Long Island, NY. As an adolescent his grandmother became ill, and his mother struggled to take care of all of them. This continued for two years, but during that time Mavarick started writing poetry that later turned into rap to express how he felt about different situations in his life. At the age of 14 he began battling other rappers, and with his ability to freestyle “witty” punch lines, and ability to embarrass his opponents quickly made him the strongest competition for all ages. Rappers from males to females of all ages battled Mavarick but lost in the war of words leaving him with a record of 86- 0. With his popularity from his battles he decided to film, produce, and edit his own DVD called “Warzone DVD: The hoods documentary”. Once he learned that art of making great songs he started small gigs at local clubs and open mics across NYC. The summer of 2006 he released a promotional mixtape called ‘Mavarick’s City Of Sin” as a reference to Long Island. The mixtape was received well and released 10,531 copies across the New York area and other states the fans lived in across the country. With his ability to write about any topic or situation gives him a musical advantage that doesn’t limit his approach to any specific region, age, or race. Also accompanying musical attributes his ability to produce, film gives him the triple threat he needs to be the next big thing in the industry.
