Interesting people who aren't afraid to be themselves and take pride in their uniqueness. Whether you happen to be really witty and funny or have fascinating stories to tell; Maybe you have an original world view; one that you have arrived at by yourself. As long as you aren't a boring cookie cutter American who is a walking cliche. I'm not on here trying to see how high I can run up my number of friends; quality is far more important than quantity. Whoever you are you must not take life too seriously and be able to appreciate a good joke. Its the easiest thing in the world to have canned conversations with hundreds of people but engaging interactions are much more rare. That said, people who I have found interesting throughout my life have never really fit neatly into a specific and narrowly defined category. Your gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, occupation are largely irrelevant to me. As long as you are being straight forward and are unique you will get my initial attention. Obviously, no extremists of any kind please.
I like almst any kind of music except for elevator music and top 40 piping through the speakers at stores. It all depends on the context. I don't own any jazz or blues records but nothing is better than going to a bar (such as Bill's Blues or Green Mill) with live performances by local artists that nobody has heard of. Or being in the mosh pit at a Metallica concert. Yes, I listen to both old school gangsta rap (NWA, Ice Cube, 2Pac, Notorious BIG, Ice Tea, Public Enemy) and country (Toby Keith, Kenney Chesney, Big & Rich). Except for maybe the really cheesy older depressing country songs about dogs, pick up trucks, and wives leaving.
The best movie I've seen in recent times was Crash; great acting and a level of daring to approach the topic of racism in such honesty that is hardly seen in today's ultra PC environment. Other favorites include ultra girly chick flicks such as Fight Club, Good Fellas, The Godfather, Dirty Harry, and A Streetcar Named Desire. Probably my faovrite testosterone fueled guy movie is My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
