HERE IS A BIOGRAPHY OF THE WONDERFUL BO BICE!!Harold Bo Bice was raised in the south by his song-singing, instrument-playing, music-worshiping parents. On his ninth birthday, he received his first real guitar - an electric Squire Telecaster - as a birthday present. Thats not a little thing for a nine-year-old Bo laughs. It cost $500 and that was a lot of money for my parents. I had that guitar around my neck all the time. And so his journey began. He was nicknamed "Bogart" as a child by his family, and it was later shortened to "Bo". He is from Huntsville, Alabama, and currently lives in Helena, Alabama.Bos musically rich childhood prepared him well for his future. Bo has been on the music scene, writing songs, recording, producing and playing in bands (including Purge with John Cooper and Shane Sexton of SugarMoney) since he was in high school. In January of 2005, he went from guitar-store manager to American Idol (where he came in 2nd in Season 4) and was welcomed into the homes of millions.After a bumpy summer in 2005 that included hospitalization and emergency surgery to treat an intestinal blockage, Bo finally hit his stride in the studio and released The Real Thing on December 13th, 2005. The album includes several songs on which Bo shares writing credit (Its My Life and Valley of Angels) and original material performed with SugarMoney on the Dual Disc version. The record, which is produced by Clive Davis, also features collaborations between Bo and eight different producers and songwriters including Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Max Martin, John Shanks, and Marti Frederickson. In addition to The Real Thing he has appeared on All That I Am with Carlos Santana, recorded ExGratia (Purge) in 1996, and recorded Recipe for Flavor in Muscle Shoals in 2000.Throughout the entire ride from American Idol to today, Bo has maintained his support for his brothers and bandmates in SugarMoney. Hes said repeatedly he just went on AI to get better gigs for his band and their journey together is just beginning.Bo Bice & SugarMoney have appeared at BayFest 2005 (AL), Verizon Amphitheatre (AL) and various stops on The Real Thing promotional tour, including the House of Blues in Cleveland (OH) and the Twisted Martini (FL).
