There's nothing like trusting in Christ... Anyone can quit. That's easy. Never Give up. Never back d

About Me

Well I'm Jeff aka P.R.E.A.C.H. third member of T.H.B. aka The Holy Believers. T.H.B. is a Christian rap group out of SOUTHEAST D.C. Other members are Y.B. aka Young Believa and T-MAC aka Tristan Man After Christ. P.R.E.A.C.H. stands for P.urposefully R.eaching E.verywhere to A.ll through C.hrist H.imself I would love to see a church in SOUTHEAST D.C. that could merge both the church and the hip-hop culture without compromising the cross-centered message. I'm a senior at Valley Forge Christian College majoring in Pastoral Ministry. I have a heart for the city and especially youth. I'm a people person. The struggles in my life they make me wanna holler sometime. But now that I have Jesus in my life, he keeps me safe at all times, safe at all times. Just becuase I am a Christian does not mean that I am perfect. I struggle everyday. One thing I want to say is that with so many religious ideas floating around today in this pluralistic, postmodernist, inclusivistic society we find ourselves in; it is easy to get lost. So I will attempt to present the truth about what the Christian faith proclaims:• We are all sinful (Romans 3:23) and therefore deserve the penalty for sin, which is death or spiritual death (Romans 6:23). Spiritual death is being cut off from God (forever) i.e. having to spend eternity in Hell.• It is clear to us that we are sinners (Romans 3:20 & Romans 5:20). Because we are sinful we are an enemy against God.• God justifies, or saves, those who have faith in God, through the atoning work of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:24-25). He bled, was crucified, and died for sinners. Justification means having peace with God or being in right relationship with God.• This justification is not a reward for the struggle to be good• So being a Christian is not, first and foremost, a matter of what one does• It is about accepting what God has done for you through the atoning work of Christ.• That acceptance is faith.Because we cannot choose God. God chooses us first and we simply respond by choosing him after he already chooses us.A Christian is someone who responds by placing their faith in the atoning work of Christ to save them. Jesus became the sacrificial victim who stood in the place of sinners, did what they could not do themselves (lived a life of perfect obedience to God), and endured on their behalf the punishment that was rightfully theirs. Because he takes the place of sinners, he frees them from the penalty for their sin and wins redemption for them.So in response to being freed from the penalty of sin, by placing one's faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ, a Christian responds by choosing to love the One, True, Lord God-Jesus Christ, obey him, and commiting himself or herself firmly to him (Deut. 30:20).So what?So we need to recognize that, although God's wrath is something sinful human beings do experience, God's love is the constant motive that lies behind all God's dealings with us. God is not an angry judge, passively awaiting a victim before responding with pleasure at the violent outcome. God, we have to remember, is present in Jesus Christ. And so God is both the agent of redemption and a participant in the suffering that overcomes our alienation. So what? So choose life. But the decision is up to you.Smile, Jesus loves you. If you ever have any questions about religion just hit me up. grace and peace.Romans 1:18-23 The basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life.
