My real name is Simon, Benny is just a nickname at work.I'm a Firefighter in London and I love my job.I'm fairly easy going though I have a strong will to succeed. I believe if you want something you should go for it 100%.I studied graphic design and Advertising at Chelsea college of Art and Design before going on to do an HND in advertising at West Thames College I then ran out of money and just to piss off my mum got a job in Tesco I was there about a year and did their management programme called options but decided it wasn't to be and got myself a job at Heathrow working for British Airways in Customer relations (Tea, Coffee?). 11 September 2001 was the end of BA for me and soon after my mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Shes still with us thankfully but she is terminal so she hasn't got long. I spent a short time looking after my mum helping her adapt to life with cancer before going and finding a new job. I had already applied to the fire brigade twice and the lucky dip of application forms had yet again failed to pull my name out of the hat. Still I soldiered on, and got a job working at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in the finance dept. Well it paid the bills until finally I made it into the brigade 4 years later.I'm very sporty, but not really one for spectating I would much rather be out there getting stuck in.
I used to play a lot of football but a knee injury forced me over to cycling yeah I know what your thinking...Lycra!! lol well if its good enough for Lance Armstrong its good enough for me.
I am also keen on Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Snowboarding, Surfing, Canoeing, and I used to be a Pole Vaulter though not very good lol My PB in the 100M was 11.91 so I think I'm pretty fast for a white guy lol I think it would take me that long just to get off the blocks these days though.Dreams and Ambitions
I once had a dream to fly a plane and I achieved that goal by flying solo in a Viking Glider when I was 17. I have since wanted to get my private pilots license flying powered aircraft and up to now have not had the time or money. So hopefully this time next year I'll be a pilot tooIt would be good to catch up with some Old friends but new friends are always welcome you just gotta say Hi.
