About Me

Chris' Life: Chris was born on March 27 1969 in London, the first child of West Indian parents Beverley andGeorge Daniel. He grew up his whole life in London with his family. When he left school he joined NATWEST Bank. When he was about 25 he decided to refocus his life, get fit and reconnect with his West Indian heritage. He worked 2 jobs for a year to save money to go and spend 10 months with his grandparents in St Lucia and Jamaica, West Indies. He came back fitter, healthier and a shadow of his former self. When he returned to London, he worked at Kensington Chelsea Council in the Tax Section. The thing he lived for at this time was dancing and clubbing. He went to Spain and Ibiza 15 times during this period to dance the night (and day) away. His passion was very much Heavy Metal, Hard House Music and dancing. Then, on September 1, 2001, Chris gave up watching England beat Germany (5-1) to meet his work colleague's friend who was in London - Kerrin. Then a few days later he stalked her to Italy to the Amalfi Coast. Kerrin and Chris continued their relationship (long and short distance) and in February 2002 he asked her to marry him. They were in a Bed & Breakfast in an old rectory in La Cock when he proposed. He came to Australia in April to meet her family and friends. They married in Brisbane on July 13, 2002 at New Farm and had another wedding in London 2 weeks later where they lived for over a year. In December 2003 they returned to live where he got a job at the Building Services Authority. After they moved here they bought their house at Wooloongabba and moved in - with Carmel living downstairs. In June 2004 Chris and Kerrin lost a baby. It was then that Chris, Kerrin and Carmel decided they needed more joy in their lives and sent Chris off to Comedy School in December 2004. Comedy became a career and an enormous part of his and Kerrin's lives. On March 20 2007 Chris' life was very happy: He had a relationship he loved and was loved dearly. He enjoyed his job and colleagues. Had wonderful friends and family; and loved his Comedy. That night he passed peacefully in his sleep. He died from having an abnormally large heart. Chris' big heart and generosity of spirit touched us all. Rest In Peace, Chris.
