The Truth

The Truth spent her early childhood living in Queens, NY where she was born. She moved to Dominican Republic at the age of 10 and lived there for two years. She has then lived in the Hudson Valley Region since then. The Truth seems to have been born with a microphone in one hand and a pen in the other. Her love is R&B/Hip Hop and would like to bring some real lyrics and meaning back to the music. She has something to say. The Truth officially started her singing career in a youth group, singing for churches and youth camps. Since then she has performed in many Church productions and community events. She has performed with up and coming artist Gospel City in many venues within the tri-state area. Some of her accomplishments include, performing at events such as Annual Hudson Valley Praise Fest and Puerto Rican Festival in Jersey City which was then aired by the Diamante TV Show (cable network) in NYC. All along, she was writing about her own personal experiences, thoughts and feelings. With a need to be heard she turned to her own melodies and lyrics and has worked with producers such as Starscream, Burton, Ruin, and Case Closed Entertainment. She has collaborated with Al Amin and Adrenaline, two well known underground rappers in the area. She has performed her original music at local open mics and was very well received. This well rounded artist has also taken lessons in tap, jazz, step and African dance. She has danced 3 years consecutively at Wendy Cutting’s Dance Concert and has also performed at a special Martin Luther King Celebration in Middletown, NY. She has also danced at Middletown’s annual African American History Celebration held at the Paramount. At this same event she also recited poetry and was involved in the fashion show. Her first single, Serious, left her my space fans begging for more. Then she hit them with the collaboration with Adrenaline called Sacrifice. Her fans eagerly await her next move. The truth is currently working on her album which has already created a buzz in the streets.
