About Me

BLAAGAARDS 2008, PHOTOS BY DAN NIELSEN MUSIKHUZET BORNHOLM 2008
Welcome to scandinavian Karen Bach Trio's myspace!
Danish pianist and composer Karen Bach established the trio in 2004 while studying at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, and since then they have been playing various scenes and festvals in Denmark, Sweden and Germany, and recorded two albums together.
The first album "Samtale" (english: Conversation) was recorded during four cold september nights at Christians Church in Copenhagen, fall 2005. 2nd album "Flash Forward and Back" is now out there as well.
The CD "Flash Forward and Back" can be ordered from any danish music store, and also found at cdon.com, iTunes, cdbaby.com, napster etc.
With ”Flash Forward and Back”, the trio opens up to an edgy and rough expression. The melodies are combined with steady beats, and passages with wide contrasts. This album is a musical journey through various of styles, and can best be described as melodic, instrumental, accoustic play.
Furthermore, the album was mastered by the famous norwegian ECM-veteran Jan Erik Kongshaug.
THIS SUMMER: New York visit from special guest Ian Froman on drums - come and see us (see venues posted above)!
While Ian is here, we'll spend time in the studio as well - stay tuned...
