About Me

saxophonist and composer Jeremy Udden (pronounced You-Deen) can be heard on various records on the Fresh Sound New Talent, Buda Musique, Innova, Accurate, CIMP, Rackem Records, and Creative Nation labels. His debut record as a leader "Torch Songs" has just been released on Fresh Sound. the torch songs are by Jeremy (with a Steve Lacy and Bangles cover to round things out) and were recorded in 2003-5 with the help of Ben Monder, Matt Wilson, John Lockwood, Bob Brookmeyer, Nathan Blehar, Leo Genovese, Ziv Ravitz, Tim Miller, and Garth Stevenson. Udden can be heard at varying levels of regularity with JU Band (Ziv, Leo, Ben, Garth, Nathan), the Either/Orchestra (tours to Ethiopia, Uganda, Italy, France, Russia, and around the US), Planet Earth, Andreea Pauta, Holis Bolis, Catshow Snapshots, Monica Heidman, the Jazz Composers Alliance, Dominique Eade, John Mcneil, Peter Eldridge, and Irene Aebi Trio. recent highlights include a tribute concert to Steve Lacy in Merkin Hall, sharing the stage (and solos) with Joe Lovano, Dave Leibman, and Irene Aebi, as well as a guest appearance with Gunther Schuller and the ProArte Chamber Orchestra at Harvard's Sanders Theater, and winning the Fish-Middleton Jazz Competition. oringinally from Plainville, MA, he is now a windsor terrorist
