Someone interested in meeting me would be a great starting point :)
I have a really big range in music interests. I grew up in the 70's so, of course, I love the old rock and roll music from Lynard Skynard, ZZ Top, The Doobie Brothers, The Allman Bros. (Sweet Melissa is a good one). Too many good bands to list. I also like pretty much anything by Jimmy Buffett. I love beach music. I like some country music, reggae music, blues, jazz... It just depends on the mood. I have XM satellite radio, which is the best thing ever for long road trips. Jack Johnson is great. And John Mayer, David Gray, Dido,... I love all live music (even if it's bad!!) Recently saw in concert Robert Randolph and the Family Band for the first time and what a great show. (I ordered both CD's from his website that same night) If listening to his music while driving, you have to dance in your seat so watch your speed or set the cruise control. Awesome band and music. Hope you get a chance to see them live or at least listen to their music.
I enjoy comedies or movies with a great story (i.e. Forrest Gump, Dumb and Dumber, The Wedding Crashers...) I don't really like movies with lots of violence or bloodshed (i.e. Steven Segal movies).
Law and Order, CSI Miami and CSI Las Vegas, Grey's Anatomy, and Two and a half men. I like to watch the Food Network, especially when "Paula's Home Cooking" is on. She is from Savannah, GA and is so funny and down-to-earth. (I've eaten at her restaurant in Savannah - GREAT food) I like the Lifetime channel, too. (OK guys, stop groaning about the Lifetime channel...) Recently bought an LCD TV with HD - love the detail and clarity, plus I had it installed on the wall and that is about the neatest thing ever.
I like mystery novels, especially by authors Patricia Cornwell and John Grisham. I haven't read as much lately as I used to or would like to. Recently picked up, "The Book of Useless Information", by Noel Botham and The Useless Information Society, and I can't seem to put it down...the sounds of E.T. walking was made by someone squishing her hands in jelly. Dr. Jekyll's first name is Henry. The Ouija board is named after the French and German words for "yes", Oui and Ja... see what I mean...
My mother. She was the best person I have ever known. She died on March 17, 2004 so she has been in Heaven for over two years now. I miss her every day.
