Lennart Green is a master of close up card magic and know throughout the magic community for his chaotic and skilled performances. In 1991 his performance at F.I.S.M earned him the title of world champion in close up card magic.
Hunter S Thompson
Thompson was born in Kentucky in 1937 and became one of the most famous and most loved writers in America.
He created the new Journalism with Tom Wolfe, a style that invlolved the writer himself becoming part of the story. He committed suicide in 2005 aged 67.
Chan Canasta
Starting as a card magician, Canasta became well known as a stage magician performing feats of memory during the late 1940's. In 1951 he recorded his first television show for the BBC - a sparse affair with few props that concentrated on mental effects. Throughout his career Canasta made over 350 television appearances.
Among magicians, Canasta is revered for the invention of a principle that eschewed perfection, believing that making an occasional error made his other effects stronger and more entertaining.
Joseph Dunninger
Known as "The amazing Dunninger", one of the most famous and proficient mentalists of all time. He was one of the pioneer performers of magic on TV and Radio.
He had a standing offer of $10,000 to anyone who could prove that he used confederates or "stooges". He often said he could raise that offer to $100,000. Dunninger made this offer to any medium who could produce by psychic or supernatural means any physical phenomena that he cannot reproduce by natural means or explain in convincing materialistic terms.
Bill Hicks
Controversial stand up comedian, satirist and social critic, Hicks challenged formal and informal forces of censorship, and suggested a disconnect between the values and operations of modern life, particularly in the United States, a country toward which his humor frequently adopted a tone ranging from cynicism to scathing critique. Hicks characterized his own performances as "Chomsky, with dick jokes".
