Strange Man in an Odd Land Who Can Take Command

About Me

I am quite the odd, sometimes foolish, hardly ghoulish, thought to be smart, trying to do my part, helpful and friendly young man who resides in Philadelphia. Well, as far as I know, I'm probably not the only man like that, but I do happen to be the only one like that who has my name. So, as odd as an introduction as that was, let me inform you better on who I am.I'm just a young guy who likes to try out new things and brings honesty and truth to the booth of conversation that I may meet another in. I have an affinity for poetry, but I'm not confident enough to call myself a poet (although some would disagree, and bless them for that and their flattery).I am always up for three things: interesting conversation, a good game and a chance to learn. If anyone has a way to help me in this, please feel free to contact me.Peace, love and happiness to all who visit (in my Neo-Hippie way of saying it).
You scored as Buddhism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one's spiritual worth is not based on birth.

My Interests

My main interests are video games, films, technology, nature, poetry, literature, sports and leisure. I'm not the foremost authority on any of these subjects, but, at my age, I don't expect to be. One day, after digesting many different books and articles on each, perhaps I will be a great source of information in all of those fields.
Which Trainspotting Character Are You?

I'd like to meet:

A plethora of the attractive young ladies in Hollywood, including Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Scarlett Johansson. However, that is a pipe dream that will probably never be realized, so don't think I'm some fool who believes that I actually will get the chance. I do appreciate their budding beauty, though. I'd also like to meet some of the great video game creators out there, such as Shigeru Miyamoto, to pick the brains of some of my favorite game makers and learn from them in all things related to the field. I'd love to meet some film directors, like Martin Scorsese or David Fincher. Chuck Palahniuk is my favorite author, so he's up there without a doubt. Finally, because she is attractive and interested in many things that I am as well, though I know that I would have no chance with her, but would love to get into a conversation regardless, is the wonderful Jessica Chobot.

Music:

I'm still trying to tune my ear to become a great musical analyst, but I do appreciate all genres. Some of my favorite bands/performers include Jimi Hendrix, A Tribe Called Quest, OutKast, Fiona Apple and David Bowie.

Movies:

I have an appreciation for fine film, but I can have fun watching some flick when I feel the need. My favorite film is Fight Club, but don't let that fool you. I'm actually pretty peaceful.

Television:

It's not TV, it's HBO...at least, that's the place I get my fix for excellent programs. 24 and Lost are always great to watch. Seinfeld, South Park and The Simpsons will always be a part of my brain's catalouge when in comes to great television.

Books:

Chuck Palahniuk, Nick Hornby and George Orwell will open up your mind.

Heroes:

If we're talking superheroes, then I'll go with Spiderman. If only that black symbiote suit didn't start messing him up, he'd be so much cooler (so, yeah, even though he's crazy, I like Venom as well). Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin and the rest of the Dragonball crew are up there, too. Wolverine is the damn man. Oh yeah, don't ever forget that The Man With No Name (Clint Eastwood) is quite the cool character.
