About Me

Been spinning since my Uni days, 14 years now. Got a slot on Girls FM in West London soonish after and ran a night at the S.U. Never pushed too hard really and the mixing didn't really take off much as any more than a hobby. Been pushing it more the last 5 or 6 years, and have played at events all over the south, East and the Midlands and have played alongside many of the dnb scenes big players. Soon to be embarking on a tour of Spain, and if succesful, may look at a broader one next year. Into all styles of dnb, but lately been veering towards more darker and liquid, though still Ilike me jump up. Really gettin' back into the swing of things after a slow few months. At the moment things going well to. Through this site, i'm back in touch with a lot of peeps I ain't seen for a while which is great. Good tings for dis year expected!!! Finally sorted my page, hope its a bit more interesting for ya! Back to chillin' now for me. Just getting into production, so page should be getting updated a bit more regular now like. Hopefully see you soon, either the pub, about, or in tha dance!!! Big ups!
Wheres the dnb at? by hippokl
Whos output you feelin' at the mo?: Loads, and i'm sure i'll miss plenty. Chase and Status, Klute, some Clipz stuff, Commix, some Break, most of the releases on Quarantine, Subtitles, Commercial Suicide, Shogun Audios releases are getting stronger, TC, some Dillinja, theres so so many. Dark, light, and all in between. Theres some good stuff about.
How do you see the scene right now?: I think its in a transition phase right now. Cracks seem to be appearing, the togetherness doesnt seem to be there as much. Musically, theres so many labels and producers croppin' up the standout tunes and original sounds are getting harder to find. The established artists are in a good place, but new blood is easy to overlook when there's so much churning out.
And what do you see for its future?: I fear a lil for the future. The smoking ban in clubs is gonna have a big effect on ravers. We'll have to see on that. I think the scene will break up more and more. Nights will specifically cater for one sound, as is happening more and more now. I think its going to be negative. People will become more insular in their tastes, and that togetherness the scene used to thrive on will disappear. Still, theres plenty of good tunes coming out, and some great producers, its just taking ever longer to churn through the shit to find 'em!
Where do you fit in?: Nowhere much. Hopefully do some promotions again, get some more bookings, show off some skills, and knuckle down on the production. All in all, want to make up for lost time! Respect one and all!!!
