About Me

I was always an indie/metal fan and a bit of a piss head, which was cool for a while. Worked in a psychiatric hospital till I was 22, went back to university, studied politics, toured Australia, ran a karaoke bar, joined the air force, bought a house. . . . . but still can't shake off the habit of being a concert going piss-head, no matter how much the cloak of respectability tries to smother me. I recently got maried to the gorgeous Rhian and am enjoying myself thoroughly . I'm only after a few friends and a bit of a chat every now and again. I'm afraid I don't have any weird mental quirks or a really cool name like most people I've looked at on My Space, but I don't know, I like to think I've lived a pretty interesting life. . . Whatever!

My Interests

Music, concerts and festivals.Films.Books.Trekking.In that order.

Music:

Inide, but really all encompassing.

Movies:

Too many great ones to choose.... Metropolis, Eternal sunshine...., Shawshank, Citizen Kane, Rear Window, The Doom Generation, (Nearly!)All Cohen Brothers films, many Japanese films, Dario Argento films, The Producers (old version). That nearly scratches the surface. Oh and I hate film snobbery, I can always find one redeeming feature about almost all films (Apart from Scary Movie, there's just some things you can't forgive!)

Television:

Pretty much American orientated: The excellent 'My name is Earl'; the equally excellent 'Arrested Development'; The brilliant British 'Spaced' and Scrubs is very good.

Books:

You must read The Time Travelers Wife, absolutely brilliant. The life of Pi was good. Magician by Raymond E Feist. Huxleys' Brave New World. The Odessey was worth the trouble, as was Dantes Inferno. Anything by Bill Bryson. And My Family and Other Animals by Durell.

Heroes:

I know who they are...that's all that counts
