Where's my paddle?

About Me

I've realized that I'm lazy but I always plan to be ambitious. I pride myself on intelligence but I regularly do stupid things. I can be friendly but I'm suspicious of people's motives until I get to know them. My sense of humor is one of my best traits but so are my senses of rationality and loyalty. I used to care more what people thought about me. I consider myself a strong person but I cry at news stories about abused animals. I can be flighty but don't mean to be. I love my job and have figured out that money isn't everything. I'd much rather be poor and happy than make a lot of money but hate life. I got married on July 7, 2007 to Kevin, the love of my life. I love the fact that my best friend no longer lives in California. I love to kayak even though I used to be deathly afraid of the water. There are a lot of people in the world that I miss, and I think about them even if I don't contact them. I enjoy cooking. I'm not as picky as I used to be, but there are still foods I refuse to eat because of their texture. I make hackysacks that rock. I miss speaking German but dream in it sometimes. I had a crazy life once but I like the fact that it's pretty tame these days. I live vicariously through other people and don't apologize for it at all. I read a lot. (A lot!) I like puzzles, but the crossword and logic kind. I can't stand sleeping in because I feel like it wastes the day. I do not plan to have children and detest it when people tell me I'll change my mind. I'm a cat person but I'm trying hard to be a dog person for Kevin's sake. My birthday is my grandma's half-birthday. My lucky number is 22. I like to draw and paint, but haven't done much of it in the last few years. I have a cat named Toby who is the greatest cat in the world. I live in the town I grew up in and love it. I consider myself openminded. I'm not doing any of the amazing things I dreamed about when I was little and yet I'm really happy.
