About Me

Winter 2003... A studio was formed in a house on the foothills of the rough area of Kitsilano in Vancouver. The original four members of the Supercades set out to record their first Epic Metal EP "Leather Destroyer" and hit the air waves like nothing since Iron Maiden. Recording sessions were tough as the band went through various producers on the first day. The fighting continued during the second day of recording and the original bassist left the band. The Supercades then hired master bassist Gunner Henriiksson from Iceland. His fast fingers not only won the hearts of the Metal community but.... women everywhere. The winter ended and the Supercades had finished one of their songs, but, inband fighting had put a delay on the recording sessions. Cam, the three legged drummer had started to see McLean's sister and moved to London. Mclean became distraught and looked for outlets to his anger. One outlet was couples Yoga Classes. This outraged the band. The Supercades felt that they were losing "Street Cred" in the Metal Community. Lightning Leads Michoulas began a solo project working with the sounds of his Casio keyboard. His project was heavily influenced by Jack Daniels. Some say that his drinking was so epic that it was an urban legend. With the help of long time friend Jon Sumner (Sting's Cousin), The Supercades went back into the studio early summer of 2004 and with new found love of epic metal recorded two new tracks. Their sound was raw and edgy like The Police's Synkronicity. The recording session ended early as Cam & Tavish toured Europe. Lightning Leads stayed in Vancouver for undisclosed issues. While alone in Vancouver, Michoulas worked on finalizing the two last tracks of the EP. Determined to complete the EP prior to his band members return, Lightning Leads recorded all of the guitar. Pollard came back rejuvinated and SLAYED his last drum track which was the albums title track "Leather Destroyer". The trimphant drumming at the end of the song even got rave reviews from Herman Rarebell (Scorpions). The Supercades will be releasing "Leather Destroyer" Spring 2006.
