The Winds are Changing

About Me

Orange County, CA is home to a driven band who shares one common goal, which is to see Splasticnova become the greatest musical act around today. Combining a booming sound of a retro-stylistic guitar with a dangerous echo of Rock n Rolls past, you get the band Splasticnova, and they’re paving the way for the future of music. Band founder Dean Ryan discovered guitar at the age of 12 and has never put the instrument down since. Meeting bassist Steven Robert in Junior high and drummer Josh Dougherty at college, gave the young songwriter a strong backbone that was dearly needed. The missing piece was around the corner literally. After another dead end gig, Josh and Dean stumbled upon an 18-year-old singer in the parking lot of a nightclub, her name was Danielle Hirbour. What at the time seemed like a fluke, turned out to be the missing piece the band had always hoped for. After performing a few shows together, such as The Derby and The Viper Room, the band’s dreams and aspirations lied in the hands of their music. With the recent completion of the band’s demo and with a few shows under their belt, offers have been thrown around the table from different labels. “Getting the word out there is what we want, the music should blow your mind alone”, says Dean Ryan. “I’ve got a need for speed,” says Josh Dougherty. No one really knows what the future holds, but we know that Splasticnova will definitely provide the soundtrack for it.

Influences: Where to start with the influences? The number one influence is all of our fans. The rest of our influences are as different as the members of Splasticnova which is why We are different from anyone else out there today. Not every member is influenced by every band on this list. Our influences are: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Noel Gallagher, Nirvana, STP, 311, Tool, and the list continues on and on. We could put every single influence we have, but all these great bands just helped us get to where we are today. Our music is our own and one day we will make somebody elses' influence list.

Strange

The past couple of months have been very strange for Splasticnova.  We all had to step back and do a lot of soul searching and ask ourselves questions that really have no answer.  Now the dr...
