Hey I'm Mike "Oblivion" Brooks and this is "my turf". I live in a puny as shit hick village called Cherokee, Iowa. It's barely on the Iowa map. Very desolate.
If you couldn't tell from my band list I love metal! Nothing in the world comes close. I try to get to as many concerts as I can but living in buttfuck, Iowa and not having a license make it really difficult. Since I don't play well with many others (namely hillbillies and tweekers) I only have a handful of close friends in this village but they are the coolest. Ironically none of them are on Myspace. However, for my friends that ARE on myspace, you guys are just as fuckin awesome... I just don't get to see you as often.
I don't do drugs but I do like to drink... a lot!! Mostly just with friends though. I'm not an alchoholic. LOL. My drink of choice is dark beers like Guiness or Rogue: Dead Guy Ale. I also love Scotch!!! I'm scottish so go figure, right. So now you know what I drinkso if you ever see me out and about at a bar, club, or metal show... BUY ME A DRINK!!! Hehehe.
I'm a video game fanatic. I can easily sink into oblivion by doing nothing but playing video games. My friends wouldn't see me in months. Neither would my job for that matter. If I didn't have those damn meddlesome bills I would definately do that!!!! I'm extremely addicted to Guitar Hero lately and I can not fucking wait for Guitar Hero 2! ROCK ON!!!! lol.
I love my family but we're a fucked up bunch. My dad's a work-a-holic but he's a good man. He's tough on me a lot but hind-sight being 20/ 20 I'm thankful for it.
My mom is cool as hell and has always been down with me doing what makes me happy, whether it be partying, rockin, or just being a lazy bastard and playing video games I always have my mom's full support!!! She's going through some tough times right now because of some asshole who's ganna get his fuckin head split, so I've been trying to do what I can to help her for a change.
My brother is awesome although he pisses me off sometimes like any brother should. At the end of the day I still consider him my best friend. No one in the world I'd rather have watching my back in a mosh pit. Believe that!
My sister and I have had a lot of problems getting along over the years, what with her having me thrown in jail and all when I was a teenager. I love her but if she wasn't family I'd probably hate her. We're just way too different in personality to get along for more than short periods of time.
Now as far as my job goes. I work in a landfill. It's horrible and disgusting work. Especially during the summer when the trash heats up so much that you can literally see the filth rising off of the trash. lol. I'm not joking one bit. But by far the worst thing about my job is the fucking people I work with. They are the lowest form of fucking vermin on the planet and should be fuckin eradicated. They we're probably better people when they were just a stain on the sheets. *Sigh* I'm sorry, I just really hate that fuckin job!
