I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

"Good god!" I hear you cry. "Who is that veritable piece of eye-candy above this paragraph?" Well my friends, that wonderfully handsome specimen would be me - Phil Myth. I'm the lead guitarist - joint lead guitarist Tay would have me point out - in up and coming Hard Rock act Double Entity (we're really quite good, you should check us out). I hail from that old Roman city of Chester, choosing to abode in the small Welsh village of Penyffordd, just over the border. I'm currently battling my way through a 3 year, £9000, journalism course at Chester University to ensure that should the band go belly up, I shall still have a means of supplying my body with the food and shelter it needs to keep me this side of the River Styx. Lately however, I've managed to develop quite a talent for skipping 9 o'clock lectures in favour of staying in bed. I'm not awesome at it, I could do it more often for example, or with less guilt, but with more practice I hope to maybe get to a professional level of bunking off and perhaps, sometime in the future, even represent England on an international scale. A man can dream. All well and good, I hear you say, but now that you've bored us to death with your particulars, what deranged activities do you partake in, when you're not stuck in sweaty lecture theatres? Well, as mentioned above, I play guitar. Music you see, is more or less the epicentre of my existence. If I am awake, 9 times out of 10, there's music coming from my general direction - be it produced by myself or some sort of Hi-Fi/personal stereo system. My genre of choice is Classic Rock and all associated with it: Prog, Glam, Metal etc etc. My favourite band is Led Zeppelin, but I won't bore you with a list of bands here - due to the wonders of Html there's a scroll box on the left which lists them in a neat column for you, should you feel the need to acquire that information. I have other hobbies too though (what a meaningful existence I lead!) I'm a big fan of computer games and am, it has to be said, an avid Nintendo 'fanboy'. You just can't beat a good Mario or Zelda game. Interestingly, I also have a black belt in Shotokan Karate - bet you didn't think that when you saw my picture did you? As I mentioned I'm studying Journalism, contrary to popular belief however, this does not mean I'm a twat. I enjoy writing (as is evident by the fact this is probably the world's longest 'About Me'), particularly humourous articles and blogs (some of which, coincidentally, can be found on this page) and am currently playing round with ideas for a book. As for the rest of my personality there's not really a lot else to say. I'm a generally happy, optimistic sort of chap; miserable people make as much sense to me as women do to Graham Norton. I'm quite opinionated, it has to be said, and stubborn. As a result, an argument with me is more of an educational, rather than enjoyable experience, but we'll all grow and become better people for it. But other than those rare occasions when the topic of discussion is something I'm quite passionate about, I'm as laid back as the leaning tower of Pisa on holiday, reclining on the beach with a bottle of ice cold beer and a good book, ie; quite laid back indeed. I'm afraid that's all I'm going to let slip at this point in time, but if I've tickled your curiosity please feel free to add me or drop me a message and I shall endeavour to respond. Cheers for stopping by, Keep it rocking!
